Do you wish you could eat and play in one? Do you have siblings? This restaurant is perfect for you! It’s The Little Tree House Café! It’s a playground but also a restaurant. I had just been there last Friday. Here you play while you wait for your food. Then eat mac & cheese, pasta, grilled cheese or anything else on the menu. Parents get a fancy restaurant meal and we kids get a meal, side, drink and snack. Speaking of food, I had a grilled cheese sandwich and apple juice, my little brother had some shell pasta with Alfredo sauce. My dad and mom ordered Florentine pizza, Caesar and house salad. They said they were all yummy. My brother and I liked the food too. My parents brought a bottle of their favorite wine. They sipped wine, chattered and watched us play. I plan to go back sometime. The Little Tree House Cafe is located in Chestnut Hill, Pennsylvania. To check it out, go to http://www.treehouseplaycafe.com.
A Day At The Beach
Posted on January 14th, 2010 at 12:28 pm by smartgir1 and
The beach is a fantastic place to be. At sunset, brilliant oranges, yellows, purples, greens, blues, and sometimes pink appear in the sky. As you walk on the beach, warm sand wriggles and tickles your feet. Squawking sea gulls fly here and there. Waves crash to shore. It’s music! Peaceful, warm, and sweet sounds are like a song rocking me slowly back and forth.
The ocean is full of fish, and sometimes even dolphins! It looks like an extraordinary picture with a big blue background. When I step in the water, it’s freezing but refreshing for a minute, then it seems warmer; perfect for a hot summer day. As you rest on the warm beach, smells of taffy, funnel cake, pizza, and other scrumptious foods fill the air. Then as I walk into the water, I find souvenirs! They are free, beautiful and smooth – they’re shells! I also try making sandcastles. At first, I might have tried with dry sand but it would collapse. Then I would try with wet sand, and it stays stiff and tall. The tide washes up to shore and the castle is ruined.
It is now time to go home. I wish our home was right by the shore, so I could play there all day. I want to stay. But I know I cannot. Even though I have to leave, I know I can always go back to the beach.
